Child Safety Week takes place during 24-30 June 2013 and is the Child Accident Prevention Trust’s annual flagship community education campaign.
The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) is the UK’s leading charity working to reduce the number of children and young people killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents, without ‘wrapping them in cotton wool’. New research shows just how much parents do to stop their children suffering horrific accidents. Here is a link to their information for parents.
Suffolk County Council has information on a number of ways to encourage more walking and cycling, reduce the number of car trips made to a school and to improve safety on the school journey. Earlier in the month we published some bike safety information during Bike to School Week which may also be helpful.
